DEALCHICKEN: $49 for $110 from Laughing Rainbow Cleaning Services

DEALCHICKEN: $49 for $110 from Laughing Rainbow Cleaning Services

ATLANTA -- Make sure that your home is sparkling clean with Wednesday's DealChicken Atlanta deal.

For one day only, DealChicken members can save 55 percent on two hours of housing cleaning from Buckhead-based Laughing Rainbow Cleaning Services. That's $49 for a scrub down with environmentally-friendly cleaning products, valued at $110.

Laughing Rainbow sets itself apart by sending the same cleaners to clients' houses for every appointment. Why the name? The company owner named it for her two daughters -- Ayeola (which means "rainbow") and Sekaya (meaning "laughter").

This deal expires on June 29, 2012 and is good for customers who live inside the perimeter; those outside the service area must pay a fee ranging from $15 to $30.

Built in 1920 by Asa "Buddy" Candler, Jr., the second son of the founder of Coca-Cola, the 42 acre property once housed wild animals including four elephants: Coca, Cola, Refreshing and Delicious. In the 1960s, the mansion was turned into a mental health institute.

Summer in Georgia & peaches for weeks: What to do with those sweet GA peaches

Summer in Georgia & peaches for weeks: What to do with those sweet GA peaches

Atlanta, GA --  The blog Running With Tweezers has a great article including a variety of great recipes for this year's peaches.  If you have had one of this year's peaches you know they are just delicious!!!  Whether you want to make ice cream, a cake or a cobbler, @RunningWithTweezers.com has the perfect recipe for you.

Around here, we’re really fortunate to have summers full of local peaches. Growing up, they were one of my dad’s favorite foods and they made appearances at our house fairly regularly. Sliced on pound cake or angel food cake, on top of cottage cheese the old school way. In the colder months, he’d even eat canned peaches straight up with a spoon. While I’m not a proponent of the tinned variety, I’m a huge fan of the fresh ones grown here in the South.
