ATLANTA – There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We’ve listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.

This weekend, the Atlanta inTown paper will be hosting the Atlanta Summer Arts Festival: Festival on Ponce which will be held at Ponce de Leon Avenue and Moreland Avenue in Olmstead Park, in the North Druid Hills neighborhood. The festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday and it will feature an artist market, food and entertainment. Local acts Jeno and Kitty Wolf will take the main stage during the two day festival. Comedian Chelsea Handler will be performing at the Chastain Park Amphitheatre on July 22 at 8 p.m. Handler is returning to Atlanta, now, to perform a show that was postponed earlier this summer. She will also be signing copies of her books at Outwrite Bookstore, which is located at Tenth Street and Piedmont Avenue. Get tickets to the show on Ticketmaster or the Chastian Park box office.

Suwannee will be holding their Suwannee American Craft Beer Fest, which will offer food, fun and of course tons of craft beers. The festival starts at noon on Saturday, July 23 and will end at 8 p.m. Make your way down to the Suwannee Town Center for the brewfest; Suwannee Town Center is located at 330 Town Center Avenue.

On Sunday afternoon, PAWS Atlanta: The DeKalb County Humane Society will hold an adoption fair. The fair will begin at noon and will be held at the PAWS Atlanta Decatur location. PAWS is located at 5287 Covington Highway in Decatur.

 We The Kings and their guests will be performing at Six Flags over Georgia on Saturday, July 23. The pop band, along with their special guests, will be taking the stage as a part of the STARBURST Summer Concert Series. They’ll be performing live at 5 p.m. Six Flags over Georgia is located at 275 Riverside Parkway in Austell.

Watch Heather Mitt, Carli Loyd, Abby Wambach and other players from the U.S. Soccer team battle it out, but this time against each other, in this weekend’s matchup between the South Florida MagicJack and the Atlanta Beat. Tickets to game are available online. The game will be held at the KSU Soccer Stadium at 7:00 p.m. The KSU Soccer Stadium is located at 3300 George Busbee Parkway, Northwest in Kennesaw.

Covington will be hosting their 2011 Back 2 School Block Park on Sunday, July 24 on Newton Drive between Anderson and Mill Streets. The Alcovy High School cheerleaders, Newton High football players and cheerleaders, a DJ and dancers from a local church will provide the entertainment. They are requesting at all attendees donate school supplies for less fortunate. The event will be held from 3 until 5:30 p.m.

Check out the Wizard of Oz at the Fred during its final production on Sunday, July 24. The play will be performed outside as a part of the Twilight Theatre series. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m. Tickets range from $120 to $15. The Fred is located at 201 McIntosh Trail in Peachtree City.

Bring your family and your picnic basket and watch Uptown Saturday Night under the summer sky. The movie will be screened at the Amphitheater of the Riverdale Town Center for free. The Riverdale Town Center is located at 7200 Church Street in Riverdale.

The Racquet Club of the South is hosting the Atlanta Tennis Championship until Sunday, July 24. According to the Gwinnett County CVB, “more than 41,000 spectators attended the inaugural tournament that offered $600,000 in prize money”.
