DeKalb Kicks off National County Government Month

DECATUR – DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis announces DeKalb County will join the National Association of Counties (NACo), along with counties across America, in celebrating National County Government Month (NCGM) this April. The month-long celebration aims to raise public awareness and understanding about the roles and responsibilities of county government. The county’s theme this year is “Healthy Counties, Healthy Families: ONE Healthy DeKalb”.

Since 1991, NACo has encouraged counties across the country to actively promote county government programs and services. To commemorate NCGM, events geared toward citizens and employees will take place at venues around the county.
