“Pedal 4 Patrick” at Druid Hills High School, November 7th

On Sunday, November 7 th, from 3-5 p.m., members of the Druid Hills Community will come together to participate in a Bike-A-Thon to raise money for an eight year old neighbor who’s been fighting neuroblastoma for three years.

Neuroblastoma is a cancer prevalent in infants and children. The cancer is usually a malignant tumor that develops from nerve tissue, subsequently attacking the sympathetic nervous system.

The Bike-A-Thon called “Pedal 4 Patrick” will benefit a foundation organized by the eight-year-olds parents called, Press On to Cure Childhood Cancer. This organization works to find new ways to battle this really invasive cancer with less-toxic effects on children.

Thus far, 180 riders are set to ride Druid Hills High School (1798 Haygood Drive Northeast, Atlanta), the high schools cheerleaders will be in attendance, along with a couple of percussionists and athletes.
