Candler Park Fall Fest at Candler Park, this weekend

Come out to the Candler Park Fall Fest at Candler Park (1500 McLendon Avenue, Atlanta) beginning Saturday, Oct. 23 at noon-9 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 24 from noon until 8 p.m.

This year, Halloween festivities will be a part of the main event. Festival goers are welcomed to wear costumes and participate in the costume contest and also to go trick-or-treating during the festivities.

For young people and music lovers, pre-teen band, My Homework Ate My Dog, will perform selections and Mr. Eric, the bestselling author of “Pete the Cat” will highlight his work at in The Kids’ Village which will feature many free activities.

For adults, this festival boasts events like: a convoy of the finest food trucks in town; Francine Reed, Atlanta’s most renowned jazz vocalist headlines 16 acts as part of a stellar music lineup and the annual Fall Fest 5k Road Race starts Saturday at 11 a.m. on the corner of Page and McLendon Avenues; the Candler Park Tour of Homes which is a self-guided tour will run from Sunday at noon until 6 p.m., a  tour featuring eight homes ranging from brand new to 119 years old and lastly, The Artists‘ Market, which includes nearly 100 booths.
